Since his first work stay in Herat (Afghanistan), Baumhauer has been delving into the consequences of thirty years of war experience on several levels. Therfore he crosses artistic evidences of the Thirty Years´ War in Germany in (1618-1648) with artistic objects and arts and crafts work from today´s Afghanistan, thus from a country as well with thirty years of war experience (now even more).

Already the installation „total burnout / kunduz version“ asked the question about „what remains“ after the experiences of violence in war (here onbthe topic of the bombing of two road tankers in Kunduz in 2009).

A further selection from this complex of works will be shown from 2011-6-26 until 2011-10-9 in the cloister of Mariensee Abbey, Höltystr.1, Neustadt a. Rbge (near Hannover), together with works of Berlin artist Astrid Lange.
